Congratulations to bn100 for winning Elizabeth Goddard’s Wilderness Peril and to Alison for winning Dave Fessenden’s The Case of the Exploding Speakeasy. I’m taking two weeks off from blogging to enjoy my family and some down time. I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and New Year. Have a safe holiday with peace and joy.

Thanks to Brenda Taylor for inviting me on this blog tour. My week is December 23-29. Check her blog out at: http://www.houseofpassage.org/bethabara-journal/

Following is a small glimpse of my writing world.

1. What are you working on right now?

I’m working on Deadly Hunt a novella in an Inspy Kisses Collection that will come out March 1st. I’m in this collection with Debra Clopton, Camy Tang, Lacy Williams, Linda Goodnight and Janet Tronstad. My story is about a female bodyguard (like in my Guardians Inc. Series for Love Inspired Suspense) . Tess Miller finds herself protecting Shane Burkhart who stumbles on her cabin in the mountains with a bullet hole in his leg.

2. How does it differ from other works in its genre?

In my female bodyguard series, the stories are about strong women and their encounters with strong men.

3. Why do you write what you do?

I love to read romantic suspense the most and it is my favorite genre to write in. Having a faith element in a romantic suspense story is easy. Who should a person depend on the most in a life and death situation? God.

4. How does your writing process work?

I first familiarize myself with my two main characters. Once I feel I know them, I start plotting. I have a loose framework for my story when I start writing, but a lot of the scenes come as I write the chapters. I’m often surprised by my characters and what they do.

You may want to include a blurb and excerpt from the book you are promoting.

I have a new sweet romantic suspense (clean romance that I have self published from three of my out of print books) called Dangerous Pursuit. It is the first book in the Protectors series (also included is Dangerous Interlude and Dangerous Paradise).

Dangerous Pursuit-smallBlurb for Dangerous Pursuit:

Reading about danger never prepared Samantha Prince for the desperate phone call from her brother in Brazil that sent her from the safety of her New Orleans bookstore into the rugged, inhospitable Amazon in search of him and a hidden treasure. And reading about romance never prepared Samantha to resist the mysterious appeal of Brock Slader, a guide she hired to help her in her quest.

Alone with Brock in an alien world of orchids and anacondas, primitive headhunters and very up-to-date gunmen, she struggles to keep their relationship strictly business. Will Samantha survive the dangers in the jungle only to have her heart broken by a man who lives on the edge—no strings attached?

It is on sale until January 3, 2014 (75% off)—$0.99 (usually $3.99) at:
