This week I’m hosting Valerie Hansen’s Family in Hiding (2 copies worldwide), Katy Lee’s Grave Danger (US only), and Beth Vogt’s Somebody Like You. If you want to enter the drawings for the books, please leave a comment on your post with your email address. I will not enter you without an email address (my way to contact you if you win). If you don’t want to leave an email address, another way you can enter is to email me at margaretdaley@gmail.com. The drawings end Sunday (May 11th) evening.

SLY book cover 4x6Interview with the heroine of Somebody Like You by Beth K. Vogt:

1. Haley Ames, tell me the most interesting thing about you. I’m not a girly-girl. Growing up with three older brothers, I was all about climbing trees and playing football – keeping up with them. No tears. No tattling. Keep up.

2. What do you do for fun? I like to spend an hour at the shooting range, do some target practice.

3. What do you put off doing because you dread it? Unpacking all the boxes in my garage … especially all the boxes filled with my husband’s clothes.

4. What are you afraid of most in life? I’m a Jordan … and an Ames by marriage. I don’t admit to being afraid of anything.

5. What do you want out of life? I don’t want to disappoint … anybody. Me. My husband. And I know that’s ridiculous because he’s not here anymore.

6. What is the most important thing to you? Family. Absolutely … family.

7. Do you read? If so, what is your favorite type of book to read? Nope, not much of a reader. But I do love John Wayne movies. I own every single one of them.

8. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? My best friend would say I should eat better. I love junk food. But it’s okay – I have the metabolism of a hummingbird.

9. Do you have a pet? If so, what is it and why that pet? No pets. Sam and I lived in apartment, and that didn’t work to well for a pet. But if I did have a pet, I would go to local animal shelter and look for the dog that was waiting for me.

10. If you could travel back in time, where would you go and why? I would go back to the last conversation I had with my husband … and I would say everything I should have said. Everything.
